Aviation eLearning is proud to announce the launch of the new e-course – Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT e-course). The e-course is now available for company clients and individual users.

Newly developed UPRT e-course is case based and provides training managers with an easy way to communicate the procedures to the flight crew. The procedures comply with the latest EASA UPRT Annex II to ED Decision 2015-12-R and FAA regulations. The multiple cases aim to stimulate the learners’ interest and to help them link the theory to real situations in high altitude environment.

Interactions and applicable examples make the content easier to understand and to remember. Virtual mentors, Michael and Michelle guide the learner throughout the course and help the crew to learn how to recognize and avoid situations that may lead to airplane upsets and improve their ability to recover control in abnormal flight regime.

The UPRT e-course has been developed in a close collaboration with Jet Time to ensure maximum efficiency. “Jet Time is happy to join Aviation eLearning in developing the UPRT course. The course will integrate with our simulator training, in our continued work to deliver quality training to our crews. At the same time the cooperation enables us to provide practical input to the course as well as creating modules for recurrent training”, says Thomas Koester NP Crew Training Jet Time.

Jet Time and Primera Air are the first airlines to use brand new UPRT e-course.

“We are excited to start the theoretical part of upset recovery training in collaboration with Aviation eLearning. We have been using their computer based training for more than a full year and we see positive results, as our crew members enjoy the easy to understand courses and nice graphics.” Jan Packert, Director Crew Training Primera Air

“Aviation eLearning have enjoyed developing the UPRT course in collaboration with Jet Time, as it provided us with valuable input in terms of how to apply hands on training elements and clear “take home messages” for the learner. The course will be launched in mid June, for Jet Time to start UPRT training in the fall season”, says Steen Sandal, Head of Standards Aviation eLearning.

The UPRT e-course consists of several modules and provides the basis for both initial and recurrent upset recovery training.
